Red maple

Hello ᏌᏌ. Thanks for the new article ᏧᏩᎩ! I was searching word lists, and I saw that the Raven Rock dictionary defines ᏧᏩᎩ as Acer saccharum and ᎩᎦᎨᏨᏩᎩ as Acer rubrum. So I was thinking of moving ᏧᏩᎩ to ᎩᎦᎨᏨᏩᎩ. Do you agree with this? Best wishes. Biosthmors (talk) 16:24, 30 ᏕᎭᎷᏱ 2019 (UTC)

Hey Biosthmors! Glad to help with the article - it's certainly still a work in progress.. It seems there is some disagreement over the naming of maples in the "literature." Raven Rock lists it as ᎩᎦᎨ ᏨᏩᎩ, but https://trace.tennessee.edu/utk_gradthes/1052/ shows it and all other maples just as ᏧᏩᎩ. I think moving it to ᎩᎦᎨ ᏨᏩᎩ is fine, though I'm not a native speaker and can't speak definitively on the matter. That's a very interesting source, thanks! I'm not sure what to do now. And thanks for your contributions as well. I'm guessing you have the help of a native speaker or of a group of native speakers to translate the articles?
